European Travel

Well, I can proudly say that I have been able to cross the big, blue Atlantic Ocean three times. (I'm still working on trying to go across the Pacific). The first time that I went over was in the Summer of '97. I went with a tour group that consisted of a bunch of teachers and their families. I visited England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands all in the course of 16 days. Needless to say, we only hit the big sites and a lot of them. Basically the trip went like this: church, museum, castle, church, castle, museum, cathedral, palace, castle, church, museum, etc, etc. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but repetitive and too much at one time. I have some pictures to scan from this trip, but, as you can see, they are not up yet. Be patient.

My second trip consisted of another tour group tour of Europe in the summer of '99, this time of the Scandinavian countries. We visited St. Petersburg in Russia, Helsinki in Finland, Stockholm in Sweden, Oslo in Norway, and Copenhagen in Denmark. It lasted 14 days and was thankfully more relaxed than the first trip. Again, I have pictures, but not at this time.

My last trip over to the continent was in the summer of '00. This trip was a make-your-own type of trip and there were only three of us on the trip, myself, my sister, and my friend. We were able to stay with friends in Germany and France and then spent a few days in London just for the heck of it. (We like London) I do have pictures of that trip. Here they are:

Here's a picture of Julia, Susan, and Tacia (L. to R.) smiling for the camera in the Netherlands.

We were looking for cheese, but it was either too aged or too young. It's always something...

So, that's all until I get to a scanner soon...This ought to tempt you for a while.
